Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

1. Introduction

WPoster is a social media management tool that helps you schedule, publish, and analyze content across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, and Telegram. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data WPoster collects, how it is used, how it is stored and protected, and what rights you have.

By using WPoster, you agree to the collection and use of data as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. What Data WPoster Collects

WPoster collects the minimum data necessary to provide its services:

  • Account information: your name and email address when you register.
  • Workspace data: post drafts, publication history, scheduling preferences, and connected platform account names.
  • Analytics data: engagement metrics (reactions, comments, shares, views, follower counts) retrieved from connected platforms when you trigger an analytics refresh.
  • Basic usage logs: server-side logs used for debugging and reliability. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or behavioral analytics SDKs.

3. Connected Social Accounts

When you connect a social media account (Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, Threads, Bluesky, or Telegram channel), WPoster requests access through each platform's official OAuth authorization flow. You authorize each connection explicitly and manually.

WPoster only accesses accounts you have connected. We never automatically connect accounts, request access to your personal social accounts without your action, or retain connections beyond what is needed for the service.

4. Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, and Telegram Data

For each connected account, WPoster may read and store the following data, strictly limited to content published by you or your Page:

  • Platform username, display name, and profile picture URL.
  • Access tokens issued by the platform (stored encrypted — see Section 6).
  • Engagement metrics from your own published posts: reactions, comments, shares, views, and follower/subscriber counts.
  • Post text previews (up to 280 characters) used to display post analytics inside WPoster.

5. How Analytics Data Is Used

Analytics data collected from connected platforms is used exclusively to display performance metrics inside your WPoster workspace. This includes showing follower counts, post engagement totals, and top-performing posts.

Analytics data is never used for advertising, sold to third parties, shared with other users, or processed for any purpose other than powering your analytics dashboard within WPoster.

6. How Tokens Are Stored

Access tokens granted by social platforms are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption before being stored in our database. Tokens are decrypted only server-side and only when needed to perform an authorized action (publishing a post or refreshing analytics).

Access tokens are never exposed to the browser, never logged in plaintext, and never transmitted to any third party. All token operations happen within the secure server environment.

7. Data Sharing

WPoster does not sell, rent, or share your personal data or social platform data with third parties for any commercial purpose.

Your data may be processed by the following infrastructure providers acting as data processors under contractual data protection obligations:

  • Supabase — database storage and user authentication.
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge runtime.

8. Data Retention

Your account data (profile, workspaces, posts) is retained for as long as your account is active. Analytics data (post metrics) is stored for up to 12 months from the date of collection.

If you delete your account or disconnect a social account, the associated access token is removed immediately. All remaining associated data (workspace data, analytics) is deleted within 30 days.

9. User Control and Deletion

You can disconnect any social account at any time from your workspace settings. Disconnecting removes the stored access token immediately and stops all data collection for that account.

To delete your WPoster account and all associated data (including workspace content and analytics history), send a request to privacy@wposter.app. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
